A couple of weeks ago, I braved the Maxwell Street Day sales at Shopbop's brick and mortar location here in Madison, Wis. Designer names for $100 or less? I'm there - along with throngs of style-hungry girls. I tried on piles of Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and a $50 Halston Heritage dress I so desperately wanted to love. But only one piece made its way home with me: an emerald blouse by Velvet with a Cleopatra-esque neckline.
