Trendspotting: Cinder Block Chic Shoes and...A Giveaway

 Prada Creepers via Streetfsn
Yes sure, since the spring runways ran way there have been copious stories dedicated to spring's spotlight shoe: the flatform, but how many people before me have referred to them as glorified flats with cinder blocks under them. Hmm? Hmm? Furthermore, how many people have offered a shoe-giveaway with their editorial dissection? I'll bet not many. In any case, let's get engaged.
3.1 Phillip Lim. And let's salute the stray curl bouncing on the right side of her head.
Alexander Wang. Open toe lace up flatforms to perfectly compliment stray bleach left in the hair and pharmaceutical runway wear. It's a look after my own heart.
Chanel. Holey pants! Get it?
Acne (Fall.) And these ones are moving truck-inspired.

If the above photos say anything, it is that this is a trend we cannot escape. Why? Because Chanel said so, and you know what happened when clogs danced that runway. The inception of this blog, for one thing. In light of this inevitability, find here selected some of my favorite offerings. A hi-lo of sorts.
Get the look fo'real with 3.1 Phillip Lim's in the flesh flatform. $625.
Or...get the idea fo'real with Jil Sander Navy's similar version for $345.
Block over to slipper town with the Elizabeth and James flatform, $198

And now for the giveaway:
It ain't a shoe story without promising the chance to win your own pair and so as a result I have teamed up with the crazy culottes at Be&D once again to offer you little nuts the chance to win a pair of your own shoes. I suggest they be cinderblock inspired but ultimately the decision is yours. Here's what you have to do.

1. If you aren't doing so already, follow Be&D's sweet ass on twitter.
2. Head over to the website, choose your favorite shoes from their shop, comment in this post with the very shoe you choose and tell me why you like it (follow the 3 C's to win my heart: crude, colorful, crazy.)
3. I will select a winner, winner, chicken dinner by Friday at 11AM and announce that shit on twitter which once again means, you should likely follow me too. I'll show you a good time, promise.
