Russia day 4...

How fabulous are these dolls? Created by top designers to celebrate Russian Vogue's 10th Anniversary. Well known designers were asked to design a dress for a matrioshka, a traditional Russian doll. The designer's sketches were realised by Russian craftsmen who hand painted and created these amazing 50cm tall dolls, which were then all auctioned for charity. If you're a fashionista, I'm sure you'll be able to guess a few of the designers...

Bronwyn's fact of the day, " Russian dolls and nesting eggs are sold everywhere - some are the typical rosy-cheeked babushkas, but you can also find sets of presidents' heads, soccer stars, figures from Klimt paintings and cartoon characters."

I think I'll stick to the traditional ones thanks and of course any of these gorgeous designer dolls
