First LVook: Monogram SC Bag by Sofia Coppola

Remember this post? Well, here's what's hitting the stores worldwide in March:

It is already available in Japan since yesterday so a quick red-eye with Northwest can garner you this Sofia Coppola design. It's definitely a hybrid so we'll just see when it arrives here Stateside. LVoeing the clochette detail!!! Source: deluxeduck

Sofia Coppola Collection: The SC Bag

Crafted in either Monogram Canvas, Suede or Calf leather, the SC bag by Sofia Coppola is a fusion of two big icons from the House of Louis Vuitton, the Speedy and the Keepall. Measuring
14.3" x 9" x 7.9", they are priced at $2230 for the canvas and $3870 for the leathers. LVoe it!!!

Sofia Coppola Collection: The Clutches

The largest of the Pouch Collection from Sofia, the Slim Monogram has two compartments and comes with its own oval mirror and soft sleeve. The lock is outfitted with acetate to give that tiger-eye stone look. Size is 10.4" x 5.9" x 1.1" at $1290.

Next is the Slim Lambskin Gold that has a metallic finish. It also comes with it's own mirror. Measures 8.3" x 5.1" x 1.1" and priced at $1450.

Similar to the Lambskin is the Slim Suede Asphalt. As the name implies, luxurious suede is the material of choice for this discreet evening clutch. Measures 8.3" x 5.1" x 1.1" and priced at $1450.

Lastly, the Slim Suede Coal , which is my personal favorite, differs from the other two above due to its contrast metallic lambskin piping and black acetate lock. Same size, same price. Phew...LVoe it!!!

LVoe ya Sofia!!!

What do you think of the SC clutch?

As the release date for Sofia's collab with Vuitton is fast approaching, I was wondering what people really thought about the designs that are coming out. Let's start with the clutch. Any thoughts, LVoe readers?! Photo: Vogue Paris

Sofia Coppola SC Bag

Hmmm...the SC bag (designed by Sofia) is starting to grow on me. It looks quite functional and stylish at the same time. What y'all think? Approximate price $2560.

First LVook: SC Bag by Sofia Coppola for Vuitton

Here's a sneak peek of what's upcoming this Spring borne of Sofia Coppola's collab with Vuitton. The SC bag looks to me like a baby Keepall with bandoulière. She wanted something that is "chic, discreet and lightweight and that isn't enormous." Another piece is a pochette that has a built-in mirror. Very practical and usable. I am really looking forward to her collection. I must admit that I had doubts at first but the SC is quite promising. It will come out in Monogram Canvas with an estimated $2190 price tag. Sofia Coppola Clutch

Spotted at the Stephen Sprouse VIP cocktail party, Yves Carcelles, chairman and chief executive of Louis Vuitton is flanked by the LVoely Brooke Shields with her Vernis Zippy used as an evening bag and Molly Sims with the soon to be released SC clutch. Hmmm...I wonder if I could re-tile my bathroom with Neon Graffiti?!

Sophia Coppola for Vuitton

And nope, it's not a new ad campaign with her father, but a more hands-on role. The Academy Award-winning screenwriter is slated to join the ranks of artists as a designer of handbags and shoes for Vuitton. Of course, Japan will once again be the first to experience this and we'll just have to see if the rest of the world will be included. Hopefully, with her close friendship with Marc, his magique would have rubbed on her. I still am sorely disappointed with what she did with Marie Antoinette.
