Goodbye Summer, Bonjour Fall!!!

It's a bit chilly here in DC with a temp. of 66° F. More and more, I feel the end of the summer and the beginning of the autumnal equinox. Only 12 days more and coats and scarves and woolen mittens are to be resurrected from their storage bins. I am looking foward to what Vuitton has in store for us. So here's an homage to the passing of the collections as represented by Spring's Damier Lune to Fall's Siwa Briefcase. LVoe it!!!

Spring Summer 2009 Men's Collection

Taken from the Japanese website these Spring Summer 2009 pieces are the first to come out from the men's collection. I think the release is meant to coincide with the opening of the all men's line Omotesando Store on November 23. They appear to me as variations of the ever popular Keepall and truly functional Reporter. I am not sure if these would only be available in Japan or will they be released to the world market. We'll see. There's a buzz that New York City will also have an exclusive Men's Vuitton Store in the not so distant future. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

One thing I enjoy about visiting LV's Japanese website is finding things in there that I normally would overlook in the English version. Take for example this Taiga portfolio called the Vladimir. Sleek, stylish and oh so masculine, it boasts an interior that could fit a PDA, mouse and battery. The signature leather of the men's line is a must have for the fashionable LV man. I guess it's too late for me to request this little guy to go into production. I was really looking forward to it too! It would have made my trips to the movies or the mall much more delightful when I want to shelf my other Louis and just have a hands free day. For the Gentlemen: Naxos Leather

From the Men's Spring Summer Show 2009, the Naxos leather has finally arrived. Starting off with my personal favorite, the Cabas, followed by the Doctor Bag and topping it off with the Messenger. These three wonderful pieces will grace the arms and shoulders of many a gentlemen everywhere. Made out of buttery soft leather and accented with silvery brass pieces, the collection was designed for the discreet LV Man. Vuitton Men's Intuition & Spencer Sunglasses

Browsing through the LV website, I found these amazing lunettes from the men's collection. They are called the Intuition and it comes in rectangle (no pic) and ovale (shown above). Made out of acetate with metallic detailing, I have yet to see them in real life to try them on. Hopefully they would sit comfortably on my Filipino nose bridge. I hate it when sunnies mist on me when the weather is humid. Colors are either black or brown and moderately priced at $450.

Also catching my fancy is the Spencer. Tooted as one of the key accesories from the Spring Summer 2009 Men's Fashion show, this graduated colored lens sunnies comes in blue and gray. Approximate price for the US is $500.
