South Coast wedding

After trying to take a few wedding photos on the weekend and seeing a real wedding photographer in action, I am in awe of their work! Firstly they have to be in a million places at once, capturing all the details from every angle and get the perfect lighting, it's not an easy job.

Here are some details from my friends wedding, it was set in a beautiful garden on a coffee farm, think simple country charm with beautiful flower arrangements, a stunning white marquee lit with fairy lights and white paper lanterns and an incredible view onto a dam filled with water lilies. It really was a stunning wedding, Mike and Katie, I wish you all the love and success in the world!

Wedding bliss

So I'm off to Durban today to go to a wedding of friends of ours, I'm so excited, I can hardly wait! Firstly because I've never been to that part of South Africa and secondly because I just know it's going to a perfectly casual but stylish affair!

Weddings these days are just so creative and offer endless inspiration. I put together a few of my wedding favourites for you, don't you love the first pic with all the bridesmaids in individual dresses but all in minis? I think it's a great idea. And then of course there's that gorgeous pastel hued room with the rose garlands strung across the room, could it get any more perfect?! Ah, I hope I've given you some inspiration for the day, have a lovely weekend, enjoy!

A perfect wedding!

Hello friends, did you have a lovely weekend? We had amazing weather here and I got to go for a long walk on the mountain which was great, plus of course we had our Michael Jackson party which was absolutely brilliant!

Did you see the post I put up on Saturday? Everyone loved the photo of the hanging bottles so when I came across this gorgeous wedding yesterday, I knew I just had to blog about it! I spotted the wedding over on 100 Layer Cake and then popped over to Amy's blog, Eat Drink Chic, to see more.

Amy Moss and her partner planned a beautiful 'Engagement party' for all their friends and later on into the event surprised them all by actually having their wedding ceremony there and then! I love the surprise factor and the fact that Amy wore her Mom's wedding dress! But what I love most is the creative styling, so colourful, casual and relaxed, really simple but absolutely perfectly put together. What do you think, is this not just amazing?! Please visit Amy's blog for more pics and the full story!
