Fresh start

Morning to you all! Hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready for the week ahead. I had a lovely relaxing weekend and today I thought I'd share some pretty, fresh pics to get the week off to a good start! Yellow inspiration

It finally feels like summer is on the way, actually there's a bit of a heat wave here in Cape Town, but I love it! So I thought I'd find some lovely, warm, sunny yellow interiors to share with you, hope it brightens up your day...

Do you have any yellow accents in your home? I think all we have is a pretty yellow and gold china milk jug. I do have quite a few yellow clothes though!

Shades of teal

Lately I've been spotting bright splashes of teal and turquoise everywhere I look, love these particular shades of blue! A gorgeous corset and a velvet, deep buttoned sofa to covet...

You can't go wrong with turquoise and white, add pops of yellow for fun...

LOVE both of these rooms, cool retro chairs, with an amazing rug and artwork by Tretchikoff, one of my favourite artists! Lovely modern coffee table in the picture on the right, combined with old fashioned wallpaper...

And lastly a fabulous, turquoise chandelier in an impressive room of grandeur!

Bright and happy

How amazing are these flowers?! Such a brilliant variety of the brightest colours! Loving the pink, purple and yellow together. I took these pics in Hermanus last weekend when the sun was shining and it felt like Summer!

Can't you just see yourself in this very outfit walking through a field of these flowers, what a perfect backdrop it would make for a summer shoot...

It's amazing what some colour can do to lift your mood, especially yellow! No secret there but I've put together some yellow images I've found lately that have simply put me in a happier space...

Rainbow loving

Continuing in the bright colour theme, I spotted these bags over at Anthropologie, aren't they just divine?! A little on the summery side but like I said I'm tired of the winter gloom, I'm definitely a summer girl, give me sunshine and I'm happy!

Colour splash

It's been so wintery and cold here this week, that I'm craving some colour, I found this gorgeous, South American home in Marie Claire Maison and just had to share it. I wouldn't necessarily go this wild with pink in my own home but I love their strong use of bold colours and the slightly kitsch, eccentric feel they have created, such a fun and playful space!

Colourful blooms

Okasie creates beautiful, unique floral arrangements, always stylish and with a distinctive edge.

I popped into their shop in Hermanus (there is also one in Stellenbosch) and couldn't help but take some pics, just look at all these gorgeous colour loving flowers.
