Galaxy Gloss

I am a beauty product fanatic. I am the ultimate guinea pig when it comes to anything new and even remotely exciting. I also have four sisters so between us we make up quite the team! I am loving Chanel's new lip glosses, Levres Scintillantes. I'm always excited when Chanel parcels arrive on my desk! It's the 10th Anniversary for these gorgeous glosses and to celebrate they've launched eight new shades inspired by the stars. The glosses contain pearly pink micro-pearlizers, silver reflectors, golden particles and rainbow mica. I am currently sporting both the Venus & Mica colours, depending on my mood of course! Visit www.chanel.com to view all the out of this world colours.

Luscious Lashes

A beauty regime is something that every bride undertakes with vigour in the lead up to the big day. Hair? Check. Skin? Check. Nails? Check. Lashes and brows? Ummmm... Well ummmm no more! New Bamboo Lash and Bamboo Brow is set to redefine women’s beauty routines for their eyelashes and eyebrows with a natural formulation that uses the bamboo plant as a main ingredient to help stimulate and enhance hair follicle growth for stronger, fuller lashes and a more defined, thicker arch for eyebrows. Both Bamboo Lash and Bamboo Brow are made from bamboo extract which is the richest known source of natural silica that is essential for hair growth and has been shown to prevent hair loss. Bamboo Lash supports the eyelashes natural growth providing a volumised, longer and fuller lash with a natural tint whilst Bamboo Brow will fill in eyebrow areas that are sparse and have been over tweezed with a subtle tint when new brow hair appears, eliminating the need for an eyebrow pencil or permanent make-up tattoo. Super Silica
There is one thing brides want (just about as much as the perfect wedding dress) and that's flawless skin. You'll change your diet, stop drinking alcohol, do more exercise and undertake a ridiculous beauty plan all in the hope of having a crystal clear glow. I'm always intrigued by models beauty regimes and recommendations and after reading an interview with Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw, who said she swore by Silica, I was in. I headed straight to my local pharmacy and low and behold, there it was. I am now nearly through my second bottle (I opted Planet Health Qsilica in liquid form) and cannot speak highly enough of it. My complexion is clear and even, redness has been well and truly reduced, my nails and cuticles are the healthiest they've ever been, my hair breakages have been reduced to the bare minimum, my hair is growing faster and my skin in general is softer, smoother and responds even better to moisturiser. Could it honestly get any better?! I've now converted a few girlfriends after they pointed out my skin was looking fab. The best ever proof that something is working wonders! Planet Health's Qsilica Gel is a convenient form of mineral silica, which is important for the health of connective tissue, skin, hair, nails, and joint cartilage. Silica also plays a key role in the production of collagen in the skin and can also help to support and maintain strong bones and teeth by playing a role in the metabolism of calcium in the body. Each bottle of gel lasts between 6-8 weeks (depending on how much you take) and will honestly make a huge difference. So, I have Abbey Lee Kershaw to thank now! Visit www.qsilica.com.au to find out more.

500ml bottle $29.95, 50 capsules $29.95 and 100 capsules $49.90

Pearly Whites
It is of utmost importance to have your pearly whites pristine for your big day. There is nothing worse than a gorgeous bride smiling with joy, only to showcase a mouthful of yellow chompers. Ewwwww! So, to avoid this I suggest you take the advice of GOSMiLE and keep some handy refreshers in your purse. FLASHLiTES and Touch Up's instantly refresh your smile and breath and are so easy to carry around. For stronger whitening opt for the FLASHLiTES or if you only need to remove a few stains throughout the day go for the Touch Up's. They taste yummy too! Visit www.gosmilebeauty.com.au to find out more about these super handy teeth whiteners.

Super Sponge
Hitting the shelves in August 09 is the newest technology is self-tanning, the ModelCo SunSponge Custon Self-Tan ($49). If self-tanning is something you find a little bit tricky (admit it, we've all had our tanning blunders!) then this will be perfect for you. SunSponge's unique ergonomic design ensures a controlled application for those hard-to-reach areas, whilst the sponge buffs and evens your tan to perfection for a truly swanky result. Enriched with Fructiplex™, to nourish, soothe & protect your skin with the moisturising benefits of Wild Rose Hip, Apricot & Palm Tree Extract, helping your tan last even longer. The fast-drying and non-greasy formula is also hinted with an exotic Cocoa Butter fragrance, leaving no tell-tale scent of fake tanning. Now there's no excuse for winter white skin! Autumnal Apricot
We're now in the lovely, romantic season of Autumn. You can tell because the trees are changing colours and the grass is becoming lush and green. Autumn is a great season to draw inspiration from as the rich but subtle colours can make great additions to a wedding. Apricot is such a pretty, feminine colour. I came across this amazing Notte by Marchessa gown on net-a-porter and fell in love. The colour is just divine! Back in issue 6 of Style Guide we did a super pretty apricot shoot. It's a colour that can be incorporated into a wedding in so many different ways. Fashion, cake, food, table settings, flowers... the list is endless. I've put together a Polyvore showing the plethora of ways apricot can be used. I've even incl. some gorgeous Style Guide stationery that can be purchased at our online store.

The Colour Purple
Purple is a colour that can either look great or garish so it's important to get it right. Purple was a hot colour on the catwalks of New York Fashion Week with Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta creating some masterful pieces in this gorgeous hue. More often than not it's best to opt for bits and pieces in purple rather than go the whole hog. Purple flowers can make a table look truly beautiful and teamed with purple bridesmaids dresses and pewter accessories it's a look worthy of a royal celebration. Below I've created a Polyvore of purple pieces that may give you some hints on how to add this delightful colour to your wedding palette. We did a great story on purple called 'Moody Hues' on page 78 of issue 7 so click here www.styleguide.com.au to have a peek. The colour purple has never been so hip.

This nifty little gadget may just be the solution... it's the Borne Naked Liner. Pop all your bits and pieces into the sectioned compartments and never again will anything be lost. The best part... you can quickly change handbags without having to think about what you may or may not need for the day. Without doubt, this must have been designed by a woman! Perfect for wedding day and honeymoon organisation, especially if switching from handbag to beachbag at a moment's notice.

Before...

After... blissful organisation. Small liner $24.95 and large $29.95 + postage.
