You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream for Ice-Cream
There is nothing better than delicious ice-cream on the hottest of summer days. Some ice-cream scoops aren't so user friendly but check out the amazing Cuisipro Ice Cream Scoop and Stack. The scoop and stack makes cylindrical blocks of ice-cream that can be stacked to add colour to any desert or ice-cream cone. I reckon it would be a great addition to any registry. Go to Everten Online to order anywhere in Australia.

White Out

One of my favourite sites for homeware is Whiteport - their products are dreamy, delightful and oh so desirable. We featured their sweet linen lingerie bag in our latest issue.

Well I found out some jolly good news today - they've launched their wedding registry this month. You may find it hard to choose what to include - I would simply say 'absolutely anything please'.

Domestic Art
I've been hearing a lot about Third Drawer Down lately - their work has been popping up on blogs all over the world - and if I'm not mistaken, I thought I saw their distinctive shop front in a car ad on telly (uber-stylish woman exits the shop).

I have long admired their take on the domestic essentials - making them works of art, something to treasure. I think their teatowels would make a lovely gift for anyone artistically-inclined, framed and ready to adorn a new home.

Melangerie Magic
The lovely Elana from Melangerie Inc in New York kindly emailed me some pics of the amazing work she's been doing for her hip clients across the US. Based in Brooklyn, Melangerie Inc are the top of the ladder when it comes to curating, creating and presenting custom gifts, memorabilia and event related bits and pieces. The pics I've featured below are from a recent early summer wedding held in the trendy Hamptons. How divine! To find out more about Melangerie Inc's absolutely incredible work visit www.melangerienyc.com.

Guests also received snacks from local producers incl. Hampton Popcorn Company, Tate's Cookies and NY Spring Water.

The hand drawn, letter pressed guide to the Hamptons, poppped in the goodie bags for guests to enjoy. Such a fab idea!

The couple who commisioned the gifts also gave guests travel backgammon sets, one of their fave beach pastimes

Family Jewels
Last week I was alerted to the beautiful works of Barbara Rabito, a jewellery designer, who makes spectacular use of bits and pieces from all over the place. Barbara can customise neckpieces for brides, and will also work with family heirloom pieces to create something truly personal for your special occasion. Most recently Barbara created a standout necklace for a client using odd bits of pearl jewellery the client had from her grandmother. What an amazing idea! Her neckpieces are assemblages of vintage, antique and found pieces sourced from all over the world, with particular use of Art Noveau and Art Deco items. The new collection is inspired by her travels in the wonderful Argentina. To find out more about her pieces or to get something special made for your big day visit www.beckerminty.com.

The Beautiful Mrs Strong
There is noting quite like receiving a truly gorgeous handwritten card or invitation in the post. If you were to receive a Mrs. John L. Strong invitation I would think you'd be a pretty happy camper! Mrs John L. Strong was founded in New York in 1929 and immediately set the standard for exquisite hand-engraved stationery. For decades, its founder Flora Strong built a loyal following for her special formula papers and beautiful hand engraved dies. World leaders, American presidents, royal families and society's prominent personalities and celebrities have all used Mrs. Strong's distinctive papers. To view the collection and enquire about orders visit www.mrsstrong.com.

The Prettiest Flowers
I was thrilled this morning to receive a gorgeous arrangement of flowers sent to me by the lovely ladies at Elizabeth Arden. In celebration of the launch of their newest fragrance Pretty I was lucky enough to receive the flowers, along with a bottle of the pretty fragrance itself. It's such a gorgeous fragrance and will delight all those like me who love pretty flowers. I'm sure it's going to become a very popular wedding fragrance! Available from Myer, David Jones and selectied pharmacies from 19 April 2009 at 50ml $80.

For the Kiddies
These days it's very common for children to be involved in weddings whether they are in the bridal party or just guests. Mini Style is a great website filled with great ideas for clothes and gifts for the little one's. It's always a nice idea, if you're having a kids table at your wedding, to have some bits and pieces on the table to keep them occupied. The rubber alphabet stamps are a great idea! They also have sweet silk dresses that would make cute flowergirl dresses. Visit www.ministyle.com.au to browse the collection.

Do Me A Favour
One thing we love here at Style Guide are the cutest, most gorgeous favours. They're not the easiest things to get right and often you run the risk of repeating what many brides before you have done. So unoriginal! However, during my daily net surf I came accross the site Products with Personality. Not only do they have bucket loads of the most amazing favours but they also have place cards & holders, favour boxes, eddible favours as well as accessories like fans, cake toppers, decorations and bridal accessories. Not only is their selection and colour range amazing they ship to Australia! There will be no doubt your guests will ohh and ahh after receiving a gorgeous favour from www.pwponline.com. Visit the site to browse the massive collection and learn about shipping costs.

Cath Kidston inspired kitchen tea party
I absolutely love Cath Kidston fabrics and am excited to have found some of her stationery items at Amazon. The recipe organiser and kitchen notes would make great gifts or favours. It would match in really well with our Tea Party story that we featured in Issue 1 of the magazine. You could download our FREE tea bag labels and tea tin labels from our website and buy some matching Cath Kidston napkins from a good newsagent to fit in with the theme. I have also seen at Spotlight a similar strawberry fabric sold that you could use as an inexpensive table cloth or runner.
